Carnation
What is delicate, durable, and delightful all in one? The carnation , scientifically known as Dianthus caryophyllus, is a historically rich and meaningful flower choice.

Carnations have a long and rich history. As they originally came from the Mediterranean, it is no surprise to find that the Romans used them to make head wreaths and compacted the flowers to make perfume. Bet you didn’t know that the word Dianthus means divine flower! It is derived from the Greek words Dios (God) and anthos (flower).
